This project is a deeply personal self-portrait series and a visual critique of eating disorders. It affects so many people, disproportionately women, yet it's a struggle that's constantly hidden away, quietly messing with our daily lives and our relationship with food. Through these images, I wanted to show what an eating disorder actually feels like from the inside. It’s my way of breaking the silence around something we really need to talk about out loud.
